What do you think Oliver discovers with his decision? Was it a well taken decision?

With the decision that Oliver takes he discovers all advantages and disadvantages that being married to him has.  The first advantage he discovers of being married to him is that he will receive tax benefits.  Another advantage is that he will not have arguments that could affect the marriage.  Moving to the disadvantages, Oliver finds himself with the need of having children so his generation could move on.  The other disadvantage that he finds is that everybody is bullying him constantly.  As he discovers the advantages and disadvantages he finds himself with the cruel reality of his mistake. 

                The advantage that Oliver receives  after getting  married  from the  tax benefits is that he will be his own tax shelter, he could be jobless and will still have an IRA, he’ll get greater charitable contribution deductions,  filing can take less time and expense and tax downsides to marriage.  The other advantage as mentioned earlier is he won’t have arguments that will affect his marriage.  Oliver mentions this when he says “The few times that I did argue, I always won.”-  meaning that no matter what type of problem he has at the relationship he won’t lose because he is married to himself.  In the contrary if he is married to another person the problem could result troublesome both of them. Here is when the disadvantages become to appear.   When it comes to having children it is impossible for Oliver to pregnant himself.  This is because he doesn’t have the reproductive system that a woman has which means that the generation he wants to procreate won’t exist.

                Not everybody approved Oliver’s decision seriously when he married himself.   That’s when the bullying becomes a huge disadvantage for Oliver’s life.  Even his friends bullied him by sending gifts like pornographic magazines to a ceiling mirror.  This is because no one in the world would marry oneself except Oliver.  In conclusion, the decision that Oliver took was not the right one because if a person is married to itself your life would become boring and people might judge and criticize you.  Why boring? It becomes boring because you won’t have that special some that will always be there for you and share unique moments with you and that’s why Oliver made a bad decision even though he married a woman years after his first marriage with himself.
